Does it work with my Shopify theme?
Yes. You add it in your Shopify theme editor as a block on your product page, with no code. It works with Online Store 2.0 themes.
Will the widget slow down my storefront?
No. The AI does its work in the background, before shoppers arrive. When a product page loads, the widget only shows looks that are already prepared, so it never waits on the AI.
Does it collect shopper data?
No. It analyses only your own product catalogue and images, and stores no shopper personal data.
What happens when a recommended item is out of stock?
The widget checks stock every time a shopper opens the page. If an item has sold out, the next-best match from your catalogue takes its place. If nothing for that item is in stock, it’s left out rather than showing something shoppers can’t buy. When it’s back in stock, it can appear again by itself. How stock-aware looks work →
What do I need to set up before generating looks?
Usually just one setting: Match scope, which decides which collections suggestions can come from. Three others (Similar match, Candidates stored per category and Match items to the same kind) are also fixed when a look is created, but their defaults suit most stores. How do I know if my store is ready for Shop The Look?
Check the readiness card on the app’s Home page. It shows how many of your products can be used (Active, in stock, on your Online Store and with a photo), how many of the eight outfit categories have at least three products in stock, and how many products have a colour the app recognises. It checks your catalogue, not what’s in your photos.
Why is the widget empty on some product pages?
Usually because of the photo: a look needs a picture of a real person wearing or carrying the products, so product-only shots and flat lays don’t produce one. The other reasons: the suggested products are sold out, that kind of item is switched off in settings, you’ve reached your plan’s limit, or a “You may also like” row on the same page is hiding the similar-products backup. Can I put clickable dots directly on a product photo?
Yes. The Shop the look block has a “Pinned image” layout that puts numbered dots on the photo itself. You place the dots by hand on a look you build yourself, which every plan includes. A look without dots shows as a carousel instead. How hotspots work →
Do I have to rebuild after changing a setting?
Only for Similar match, Candidates stored per category and Match items to the same kind. Press Rebuild looks and your existing looks pick up the change. It’s free, because the AI doesn’t run again. Match scope is different: each look keeps the scope it was created with, so press Generate looks again for those products to apply a new one.
