Privacy Policy — Infinite Scroll & Load More

Merchentia (“we”, “us”) operates the Infinite Scroll & Load More Shopify app (the “App”). This policy explains what data the App accesses and stores.

Summary

The App does not collect, store, or process any personal data about your customers (shoppers). Its storefront feature runs entirely in the shopper’s browser and only loads your store’s own pages.

What the App stores

• Shop session credentials — when you install the App, Shopify provides an access token and basic shop identifiers (your *.myshopify.com domain). We store these solely to authenticate the App with your store and operate the embedded admin. We do not request access to products, customers, or orders (the App uses no Admin API scopes).
• That’s it. We store no customer names, emails, addresses, payment details, browsing data, or order information.

What the App does not do

• It does not read or store your customers’ personal information.
• It does not process payments. Subscription billing is handled entirely by Shopify Billing; we never see card or payment details.
• The storefront script does not send shopper data to us or any third party — it only fetches your store’s own collection/search/blog pages to display more items.

Data sharing

We do not sell or share any data with third parties. The only external party involved is Shopify, which hosts your store and processes installation, authentication, and billing.

GDPR / data requests

Although the App stores no customer data, it implements Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks:

• customers/data_request and customers/redact — acknowledged (no customer data is held to return or delete).
• shop/redact — deletes the App’s stored session record for your shop (sent ~48 hours after uninstall).

Uninstalling the App removes its session data for your shop.

Data retention & security

Session credentials are retained only while the App is installed and are deleted on uninstall (and on shop/redact). Data is stored on our hosting provider using industry-standard security.
